Isaiah 41:13

"For I am the LORD your God who takes hold
of your right hand and says to you,
Do not fear; I will help you."

His Strength in Your Weakness - Greg Laurie

And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
2 Corinthians 12:9

I didn’t have an easy childhood. I came from a home that was broken many, many times over. But I can look back on my past today and instead of moaning about it, I can say, “I went through that, and now I can comfort others.” It has become a tool to help others.
I wouldn’t want to go through that again, of course. Nor would I want anyone else to go through the same thing. But I’m thankful that God can take my past, that hardship, and use it for His glory today. He can do the same for you.

Maybe you’re going through some hard times right now, and you’re wondering why. God will use it. It’s hard to believe now, but just remember that it won’t last forever.

As 1 Peter 1:6–7 says, “In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ” (nkjv). Trials don’t last forever.

Keep moving. Don’t give up. Don't abandon hope. You are going to get through that valley in your life. There will be an even greater mountaintop beyond it, with great lessons you have learned as God demonstrated His strength in your weakness.

COVID-19 Crisis Prayer - Pastor Mike

Today's Prayer
Psalm 67

Daily Prayer Topic:   New Normals

Romans 12:18 (ESV) If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.

Our Homes:  Pray for an enrichment in our homes of relationships between parent/child as schools reopen with new challenges to students.  Pray for jobs and sustenance to be restored to homes and families.  That that crisis would give us all a new appreciation for the provision of God and our dependence upon Him.  That is crisis would cause great gratitude in our hearts for the Lord’s gifting regarding the various jobs we can do and service we can do for His glory.  Pray for great peace and patience to rule and reign in our homes during this transition time in our country. Pray for divine protection of marriages.

Our Church:  Pray the Lord would grant great wisdom to know when it is safe and acceptable to open the church doors and assemble together again.  Pray He would cause the doors to open very soon.  Pray that He would sustain us in our personal and house worship of Him.  Pray the Lord would strike down any plan of the enemy to divide or confuse the church, to keep the doors shut and the assembly halls empty.  Pray we would have a great appreciation and gratitude for the Lord allowing us to assemble in His name to glorify Him.  Pray there would be a renewed desire to enter in the houses of the Lord and worship when that day comes.

Our Society:  Ask the Lord for great care and understanding as people emerge from their homes and begin to move about in society once again.  Pray the Lord would bring peace in our land and that He would discomfit the heart that is prone to contention and division.  Pray that when the restrictions are lifted in our community, people will find ways to bring unity in the land.  Pray the Lord would be the center of those ways toward unity.  Pray that those who have been isolating themselves would emerge and engage in society.  Pray that the Gospel would be preached in our society in public venues and in private conversations as people socialize once again with each other. Pray for safety upon our community as we navigate this extraordinary time.

“God be merciful to us and bless us, and cause His face to shine upon us, that Your Way may be known on earth, Your Salvation among the nations.  Let the peoples praise You, O God; Let all the peoples praise You” Psalm 67: 1-3
