Psalms 25:4-5
Show me Your ways, O LORD; Teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day.
Trust In The Lord - F.B. Meyer
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all they ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy path.
Proverbs 3:5-6
Thy paths! Then, every man’s path is distinct for him, and for no other. The paths may lie side by side, but they are different. They have converged; they may diverge.
We need to be divinely directed. – The man who stands above the maze can direct you through all its labyrinth by the readiest path. God who made you for your life, and your life for you, can direct you, and He only.
First: Lean not to thine own understanding. – A person is apt to pride himself on his farsighted judgement. We consult our maps and guides and the opinions of fellow travelers, to find ourselves at fault. We have to learn that our own understanding is not keen enough or wise enough to direct; we must adjure and renounce all dependence on it.
Second: In all thy ways acknowledge Him. – Let your eye be single; your one aim to please Him; your sole motive, His glory. It is marvelous how certainly and delightfully our ways open before us when we no longer look down on it, or around at others, but simply upward into the face of Christ. “ It is a universal law, unalterable as the nature of God, that no created being can be truly holy, useful, or happy, who is knowingly and deliberately out of the divine fellowship, for a single moment.”

COVID-19 Crisis Prayer - Pastor Mike
Today's Prayer
Psalm 67
COVID-19 Crisis Prayer Topic: Our Youth
These are extraordinary times for all of us. Our youth are faced with a crisis that very few of us have known in our life times. Aside from school being discontinued, changing their social landscape drastically, they are still faced with the pressures of growing up in this very broken world. We begin our week of intercessory prayer with our youth in mind:
Pray for the struggles of doubt our youth to which our youth can be prone. Pray as they navigate growing up, maturing, and adulting in this complex world. Pray they would respond to the temptation to doubt with Biblically-based faith and truth. That they would be filled with the Holy Spirit and yielded to Him in their struggles. Pray for those feeling lost and confused. That if they do not have a relationship with their Creator through Jesus, they would begin that relationship and be found. For those in Christ feeling lost, pray for encouragement from the truth of the Word of God and from godly others. Pray they would know and hold fast to their identity in Christ. That it is Christ in them, the hope of glory.
Pray for the temptation toward depression as well because of the separation and isolation from their peers. Pray they would go deeper in their relationship with Jesus and find peace and contentment in Him. Pray for the challenge of home schooling for many students quite unfamiliar with the process. Pray they will be diligent and disciplined to study and show themselves approved. Pray they would use this time to grow in the Lord.
Pray for Seniors in High School for encouragement as their graduations and ceremonies have been cancelled. Pray for wisdom with social distancing and using technology for good to remain connected. Pray for grace between students and parent during this challenging season in our history. That their the relationships between parents and youth would be enhanced in the Lord for His glory and their good for our Jr. High, High School, and Young Adult/College people. Pray for those now without jobs to sustain them.
Pray that whatever their age, they would have a hunger for God’s Word and redeem this time to study His Word diligently and for themselves. Pray that the Word of God would be a key thread in their communications mostly through social media. Pray the Lord would confirm His purpose and His will in our youth and our next generation of believers in Jesus Christ.
“God be merciful to us and bless us, and cause His face to shine upon us, that Your Way may be known on earth, Your Salvation among the nations. Let the peoples praise You, O God; Let all the peoples praise You” Psalm 67: 1-3
