By God’s grace, we’ve got 15+ moms (and their precious newborns) now meeting weekly onsite here at Calvary Chapel Modesto for a Spanish-speaking parenting class facilitated by staff from Modesto Pregnancy Center!
Their teacher not only requested that we give them all a tour of campus and an overview of our ministry on their first meeting, but she invited and encouraged her whole class to start attending here for Sunday Services and for Calvary Kids' Bible Club.
Each week, the Lord has opened doors that allow us to build relationships and now we have a way you can be a part of blessing and encouraging these moms as we continue to develop friendships to show them His love and goodness and His heart to be their God and provider.
We’ve created an Amazon Wish List here where you can purchase diapers to express God’s heart to provide for these moms in a practical way, and show them how the body of Christ reflects His love.Â
Each mom is given a bundle of diapers at the end of class each week.
If we provide the diapers:
- It frees up MPC to not have to pull from their donations
- It frees MPC from having to transport them each week back and forth.
- It also will allow us to directly bless these moms who so courageously chose life!
Â
Most of the moms are bi-lingual, but as a few speak only Spanish we are praising God that He had already brought a real-time language translation program to the attention of our pastors and it’s implementation for Sunday Services is in the works!
Some of our bi-lingual moms from church have been greeting the moms each week as they come to class, and also joined us for the tour of campus the first week of classes to chat with the women and answer questions.Â
Please pray:
-
each will continue to draw close to the Lord, keep seeking and choose to follow His ways.
-
they will continue to come to class and feel at home on our campus and come visit on a Sunday or Wednesday night.
-
the pastors will discern the Lord's timing as to when to implement the real-time translation audio for Sunday services.
